We no longer offer one night stays. We have increased our cleaning time significantly due to covid as we want to ensure the safety and health of all of our farmstay guests. A minimum rental is two nights. We are also now including a small cleaning fee in the rental price of $50.00 for your entire stay. Thanks for your understanding.

Our farm is located approximately 100 miles from Chicago. We sit upon a hilltop prairie with fantastic views of the country side. Our private farm stay cottage studio accommodates two people. The cozy farmstay has one queen size bed with a chair and a half that pulls out into a twin size bed. There is one bath with a stand up shower. The farmstay cottage has linens, dishes, pots and pans, stove/oven, and small dorm size refrigerator. There is air conditioning but be aware there is no t.v. or wi-fi. Most folks come to unplug and get away from the city! Check in: 3:00 p.m. Please contact us for a later check-in if needed.This will need to be set up ahead of time as we have evening chores and want to meet able to greet you! Check out: 11:00 a.m. While the farmstay cottage is on our 25-acre working farm, it is set away from our farmhouse to allow for privacy for our guests. There is no smoking anywhere on the farm grounds. No dogs are allowed. Our farm has four working livestock guardian dogs who are great with children and adults but are unwelcoming to outside dogs. We milk goats in the mornings seasonally. You are welcome to join in at milking time for a demonstration. You may catch us making cheese, goat milk soap, or goat milk caramels while you are visiting. We also offer farmstead cheese making classes and old fashioned cold-procees soap making classes. The classes can be incorporated into your stay if plans are made ahead of time for an additional fee. You can bike the nearby Pecatonica Prairie Path or paddle in the Pecatonica River that is adjacent to our farm. Below are a few pictures of the interior of the farmstay cottage.
