Welcome to Gretta’s Goats – we are a small woman owned farm and creamery that specializes in goat milk products and farm education. Gretta’s Goats was established in 2011 on leased land as a part of 100 acres of conserved farmland in Lake County, Illinois. As our farm business grew we needed to move our operation to a larger farm. That need brought us to the small farming town of Pecatonica located in Northern Illinois. Nestled on a hilltop prairie the abundance of wildflowers, prairie grasses, and wildlife provide inspiration for our natural artisan soap and goat milk cheese. Its here that we have grown roots and built a licensed commercial goat dairy, apiary, and educational farm for our community. Our farm is certified by a Greener World as an Animal Welfare Approved farm. We inspire and educate others about the compassionate and humane treatment of farm animals through regenerative farming methods and the highest level of animal welfare standards. Our farm is a safe and welcoming space for all.
