Sensory Friendly Farm Hour to Connect with Nature and Baby Goats
Join us on the farm to connect with the spring baby goats and other animals on the farm! This farm experience will be led by a Special Education Teacher.
What to Expect:
A sensory family friendly inclusive farm experience designed to help children connect with animals, nature, and one another in a calm, welcoming environment.
Baby Goat Cuddle Station 15 minutes
Children can sit in a chair or wheelchair to hold a baby goat or simply observe them hopping, jumping, and playing
Mini Horse Grooming 15 minutes
Soft brushes will be provided
Learn about animal communication and body language
Walk or sit beside a mini horse
Quiet Connection Time 10-15 minutes
Families can spend 10-15 minutes with an animal in a low stimulation setting. There is no pressure to interact if the child does not want to. Observation is encouraged.
