During your 2 hour experience\, you will be provided a tour of our farm and commercial cheese making operation\, say hi to the goats\, mini horses\, mini donkeys and scratch our livestock guardian dogs on the head. \nWe will walk you through the basics of in home cheese making. You will make a batch of farmstead cheese\, sample some of our cheese and take a container of cheese home with you. \nCome join us and experience a fun 2 hour workshop that includes our crew of dairy goats and learn how simple it is to create the freshest cheese right in your kitchen. \nGPS will take you right to the farm. There is a black barn at the intersection of Farwell Bridge Rd and HWY 20. We are about 3 miles North of HWY 20. You will know when you reached the farm due to the metal goat head sign. DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and snuggle our spring kids! The group will be kept very small to ensure that the babies are comfortable and everyone gets some relaxing one on one time with the babies. In case of inclement weather we will host the snuggle in our barn with a heater. We will provide chairs to sit down with your baby. The little stinkers usually fall asleep in your lamp. The babies are only away from their mom for 45 – 60 minutes a few times a week.GPS will take you right to the farm. We are a few miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a metal goat head sign when you get to the farm. Please do not arrive early as we have other events and farm work happening on the farm. We are a small staff of 2 usually. Please no dogs. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us for a spring festival benefitting Healing Herd Therapy Farm’s Mission to offer free animal assisted therapy/education for kids in our community. Here is what is happening! Bring a blanket and a picnic to enjoy on the farm while watching the animals graze in the pastures. Say hi to the spring baby goats! A 5K fun run/walk at 9AM. Tickets are separate for the fun run. You can find them on the website.\nMini Farmer’s Market with Woman Farmer’s from Midnight Sun Farm\, Grazy Acres\, and Gretta’s Goats. The farmer’s will be selling grass fed meat (beef & chicken)\, Organic veggies\, pasture raised chicken eggs\, goat milk soap\, goat milk caramels\, raw honey and beeswax products. No cost spring and nature/animal Themed Art projects for kids of all ages taught by Pecatonica Art Teacher  Rachel Hamblock (9-12PM)\, No cost painting with painter\, Sara Brunetti Dow or other artist (9-12PM) for kids and adults of all ages!) Story hour with baby goats from spring from 12 – 1PM  Live Music to be announced.  More details to come on social media. Door prizes too. Hope to see you!

SUMMARY:5K Farm Fun Run to benefit Healing Herd Therapy Farm
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first annual 5K Run at Gretta’s Goats! Shop our mini farmer’s market afterwards. Featured Farms: Grazy Acres and Midnight Sun Farm. \nEvent: \n 5k Farm Fun Run at Gretta’s Goats \nThis 5k fun run is a fundraiser for Healing Herd Therapy Farm. Proceeds from the run directly impact kids with special needs in our community by providing free animal assisted therapy on the farm.  \nCourse: \nThis course will be a scenic off road fun run consisting of 3 one mile loops at Gretta’s Goats in Pecatonica\, IL. Loops will follow our goat hike trail and will feature a twisty half mile section through our woods and a rolling mowed trail that passes next to our pastures. While running you will get to see the goats\, guardian dogs and our two sweet donkeys frolicking in the pastures. Please be aware that there is some uneven ground and a portion of the run will be on a dirt trail. All of the run will be on either dirt or grass. \nLocation:  \nGretta’s Goats\, 498 N Farwell Bridge Road\, Pecatonica. Take Farwell Bridge Road north from IL Highway 20 about 3 miles and proceed to the parking area near our flower field (parking will be marked). SUMMARY:Baby Goat Snuggle Session May 11\, 2025 11:30-12:30PM
DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and snuggle our spring kids! The group will be kept very small to ensure that the babies are comfortable and everyone gets some relaxing one on one time with the babies. In case of inclement weather we will host the snuggle in our barn with a heater. We will provide chairs to sit down with your baby. The little stinkers usually fall asleep in your lamp. The babies are only away from their mom for 45 – 60 minutes a few times a week.GPS will take you right to the farm. We are a few miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a metal goat head sign when you get to the farm. Please do not arrive early as we have other events and farm work happening on the farm. We are a small staff of 2 usually. Please no dogs. We are a working farm. Everyone must have a ticket. Children under 2 are free when accompanied by an adult. Hope to see you at the farm! \nYou know you have reached the farm when you see the small metal goat head. We are approximately 3 miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a black barn at the corner of Farwell Bridge Road and HWY 20. GPS will get you right to the farm.

SUMMARY:Mother's Day Goat Hike! May 11\, 2025 10AM-11AM
DESCRIPTION:  \nCome to the farm and enjoy a peaceful 1 mile hike around the farm and through our woods with our miniature goats! Please be aware that there is some uneven surfaces/ground on the trail. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Please bring a water bottle\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. There will be no refunds given in case of bad weather. A credit will be offered for a future hike. Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent. We ask all participants to sign a waiver when they arrive at the farm.\nGoats hikes take anywhere between 45 – 60 minutes. We have a farmstore where you are welcome to purchase farm products (seasonal cheeses\, raw honey\, goat milk soap\, hand salve\, and more). Hope to see you at the farm! Everyone must have a ticket that is attending the hike (that includes children). Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent\, Please do not arrive early as we have other events going on and we are a small staff. We have a list of participants so if you cannot find your ticket it is no problem! GPS will take you directly to the farm. We are approximately three miles North of  HWY 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a black barn at the intersection of HWY 20 and Farwell Bridge Rd. You will know when you have arrived at the farm by the small metal goat head sign. Please drive slowly in the driveway. When you pull into the driveway the check-in will be on your left in the metal barn.
