DESCRIPTION:Join Eric for a two hour introductory class on the benefits of keeping bees\, equipment needs\, hive parts\, native plants that support bee colonies\, and the beneficial products that can be sourced from your hive. \nEach participant will take home a jar of our wild flower honey. We will also provide all participants a tour of our farm and time to interact with the goats\, miniature donkeys and horses\, farm kitties\, livestock guardian dogs\, chickens\, and any brand new goat babies! Please note that participants will not handle bees nor be near active hives during the class. \nSting Free is the goal! You will get to play with and interact with the beekeeping equipment. We\nwill not be interacting with the bees in the hives for this introductory beginner class but you will get to see our apiary and set-up from a distance. \nThe farm is located approximately 3 miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. You will know you have reached the farm when you see the small metal goat head sign. GPS will take you directly to the farm. Please check-in at the large metal barn (after you park) on your left when you pull in the farm driveway. This class is rain or shine. We have an indoor classroom if needed.

You can experiment with scents\, colors\, textures\, and use responsibly sourced ingredients and know exactly what you are putting on your skin. \nThis is a two hour introductory hands on experience with basic cold process soap making. Each participant will take home the soap in a mold they make in class along with choosing a soap from Gretta’s Goats farm store. We will also provide all participants a tour of our farm and time to interact with the goats\, miniature donkeys\, miniature horses\, farm kitties\, livestock guardian dogs\, and chickens. \nYou will know you have reached the farm when you see the small metal goat head sign. DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and snuggle our spring kids! The group will be kept very small to ensure that the babies are comfortable and everyone gets some relaxing one on one time with the babies. In case of inclement weather we will host the snuggle in our barn with a heater. We will provide chairs to sit down with your baby. The little stinkers usually fall asleep in your lap. The babies are only away from their mom for 45 – 60 minutes a few times a week\, just enough time to socialize\, keep an eye on them\, and not cause stress to either mama or baby. Our farm is certified by a Greener World as Animal Welfare Approved and we follow strict humane farming practices. Any questions\, please ask us! \nGPS will take you right to the farm. We are a few miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a metal goat head sign when you get to the farm. Please do not arrive early as we have other events and farm work happening on the farm. We are a small staff of 2 usually. Please no dogs. We are a working farm. Everyone must have a ticket. SUMMARY:Mother's Day Goat Hike! May 10\, 2026 11AM-12PM
DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and enjoy a peaceful 1 mile hike around the farm and through our woods with our miniature goats! Please be aware that there is some uneven surfaces/ground on the trail. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Please bring a water bottle\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. There will be no refunds given in case of bad weather. A credit will be offered for a future hike. Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent. We ask all participants to sign a waiver when they arrive at the farm.\n\nGoats hikes take anywhere between 45 – 60 minutes. We have a farm store where you are welcome to purchase farm products (goat milk caramels\, raw honey\, goat milk soap\, hand salve\, and more). Everyone must have a ticket that is attending the hike (that includes children). Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent\,\n\nPlease do not arrive early as we have other events going on and we are a small staff. We have a list of participants so if you cannot find your ticket it is no problem!\n\nGPS will take you directly to the farm. We are approximately three miles North of  HWY 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a black barn at the intersection of HWY 20 and Farwell Bridge Rd. You will know when you have arrived at the farm by the small metal goat head sign. Please drive slowly in the driveway. Goats at play!  When you pull into the driveway the check-in will be on your left in the metal barn.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 5K Run For the Herd at Gretta’s Goats! Shop our mini farmer’s market afterwards.  \nEvent:    5k Farm Fun Run at Gretta’s Goats \nThis 5k fun run is a fundraiser for Healing Herd Therapy Farm. Proceeds from the run directly impact kids with special needs in our community by providing free animal assisted therapy on the farm.  \nCourse: \nThis course will be a scenic off road fun run consisting of 3 one mile loops at Gretta’s Goats in Pecatonica\, IL. Loops will follow our goat hike trail and will feature a twisty half mile section through our woods and a rolling mowed trail that passes next to our pastures. While running you will get to see the goats\, guardian dogs and our two sweet donkeys frolicking in the pastures. Please be aware that there is some uneven ground and a portion of the run will be on a dirt trail. Bring a blanket and a picnic to enjoy on the farm while watching the animals graze in the pastures. Say hi to the spring baby goats! A 5K fun run/walk at 10AM. Tickets are separate for the fun run. You can find them on the website. \nMini Farmer’s Market with Woman Farmer’s from Midnight Sun Farm\, Grazy Acres\, and Gretta’s Goats. The farmer’s will be selling grass fed meat (beef & chicken)\, Organic veggies\, pasture raised chicken eggs\, goat milk soap\, goat milk caramels\, raw honey and beeswax products. No cost spring and nature/animal themed art projects for kids of all ages taught by Pecatonica Art Teacher  Rachel Hamblock (9-12PM)\, No cost Farm themed art project with retired teacher\, Joyce Zablocki. SUMMARY:Baby Goat Snuggle Session May 23\, 2026 1PM-2PM
DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and snuggle our spring kids! The group will be kept very small to ensure that the babies are comfortable and everyone gets some relaxing one on one time with the babies. In case of inclement weather we will host the snuggle in our barn with a heater. We will provide chairs to sit down with your baby. The little stinkers usually fall asleep in your lap. The babies are only away from their mom for 45 – 60 minutes a few times a week\, just enough time to socialize\, keep an eye on them\, and not cause stress to either mama or baby. Our farm is certified by a Greener World as Animal Welfare Approved and we follow strict humane farming practices. Any questions\, please ask us! \nGPS will take you right to the farm. We are a few miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a metal goat head sign when you get to the farm. Please do not arrive early as we have other events and farm work happening on the farm. We are a small staff of 2 usually. Please no dogs. We are a working farm. Everyone must have a ticket. Children 3 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. Hope to see you at the farm! \nYou know you have reached the farm when you see the small metal goat head. We are approximately 3 miles North of Highway 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a black barn at the corner of Farwell Bridge Road and HWY 20. GPS will get you right to the farm.

SUMMARY:Goat Hike! May 24\, 2026 11AM-12PM
DESCRIPTION:Come to the farm and enjoy a peaceful 1 mile hike around the farm and through our woods with our miniature goats! Please be aware that there is some uneven surfaces/ground on the trail. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Please bring a water bottle\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. There will be no refunds given in case of bad weather. A credit will be offered for a future hike. Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent. We ask all participants to sign a waiver when they arrive at the farm.\n\nGoats hikes take anywhere between 45 – 60 minutes. We have a farm store where you are welcome to purchase farm products (goat milk caramels\, raw honey\, goat milk soap\, hand salve\, and more). Everyone must have a ticket that is attending the hike (that includes children). Children under 2 are free when accompanied with their parent\,\n\nPlease do not arrive early as we have other events going on and we are a small staff. We have a list of participants so if you cannot find your ticket it is no problem!\n\nGPS will take you directly to the farm. We are approximately three miles North of  HWY 20 on Farwell Bridge Road. There is a black barn at the intersection of HWY 20 and Farwell Bridge Rd. You will know when you have arrived at the farm by the small metal goat head sign. Please drive slowly in the driveway. Goats at play! When you pull into the driveway the check-in will be on your left in the metal barn.
